SUE DAVIS JOHNSON SMOODY, of Jefferson City, TN passed away at home on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at the age of 76. Sue was born in Tazewell, TN before moving to Jefferson City in 1967, where she was a lifelong member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Sue was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Nick Johnson; parents, Arizona and Jack Davis; brothers, Pete, Jim and Don Davis; and sister, Doris McKvey. She is survived by her husband, Chuck Smoody; sons, Mike and Chad Johnson; and her three grandchildren, Christopher, Cassidy and Nicholas Johnson. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Farrar Funeral Home with her pastor, Dr. Sonny Strange officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. Family and friends will gather at 10:45 a.m. on Friday, November 11, 2016 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that memorials be made in her memory to Emmanuel Baptist Church, 1916 Overlook Avenue, Jefferson City, TN 37760.
