Steven Russell Wice

Steven Russell Wice, age 55, of Franklin, West VA formerly of Talbott, Tennessee passed away on Thursday August 5th, 2010 at his home. Born in Morristown, TN on September 1, 1954, he was the first child of Nolan and Betty Wice. Steve graduated from Morristown West in 1972 and attended Walters State College and East TN State University. Steve?s life work was in construction most recently as a Superintendent for Donohoe Construction. He was very proud of the projects he oversaw. Especially his work in the renovation of Gallaudet University in Washington, DC, were he received special recognition from the college. Steve loved his cabin in the mountains and his friends in Franklin and Grapeville. He most enjoyed the peace the mountains provided. A great day for Steve would begin with a pat on the head of his shepherd Baron, then a ride through the mountains on his motorcycle Big Bird. Later when he was unable to ride he enjoyed the mountains in his jeep Beastie. Steve is survived by his daughter, Amanda Wice of Sevierville, TN; granddaughter, Kailee Conley of Sevierville; parents, Nolan and Betty Wice of Talbott; brother and sister-in-law, Randall and Frances Wice of Whitesburg; sister and brother-in-law Debra and Les Forman of Knoxville; niece, Kristy and husband Josh Goins; niece Anna Forman; great niece, Briana Goins; and great nephew Aiden Goins; special friend and fiancée, Dee Waldron of Grapeville, PA. Memorial funeral service will be 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 12, 2010 at Farrar Funeral Home, Jefferson City, TN with Reverend R. J. Seal officiating.
