Stella Maye Gilbert

STELLA MAYE GILBERT, age 89, of Jefferson City, TN passed away on Monday, April 13, 2009 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church since 1941, a member of Golden Nuggets of Strawberry Plains, and an employee of Magnavox for 23 years. Preceded in death by husband, Hugh J. Gilbert; parents, Jeff and Mary Brown Scott; son, Hugh J. (Pickle) Gilbert, Jr.; granddaughter, Catherine Louise Gilbert; brothers, Billy, Bob, Mitchell and John Scott; sister, Molly Woods. She is survived by son, Thomas E. ?Gene? Gilbert and wife, Bettie of Kingsport; daughters, Mary Hammer and Dorothy Fay Kimbrough; daughter-in-law, Patsy Gilbert, all of Jefferson City; grandchildren, Thomas Gilbert, Jr., Scott Gilbert, Laura Reneau, Amanda Finley-Barnes, Jeannie Beltz, Tracy Hammer, Tony Morgan, Bobby Morgan; twenty great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; brothers, Hubert Scott and Herbert Scott; sister, Ruby C. (Bruce) Watson; sister-in-law, Nellie Gilbert Cockrum; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Rev. R. J. Seal officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. at Farrar Funeral Home on Thursday morning to proceed to Jefferson Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
