Stella Ruby Carpenter

Stella Ruby Carpenter, age 83, of Jefferson City, TN passed away on December 31, 2023 after a brief illness. She loved to spend her time telling stories and writing poems. Stella was an avid reader and was a member of Rocky Valley Baptist Church of New Market, TN. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Carpenter; sons, James and Robert Johnson; parents, Earl and Bessie Reagan; brothers, Floyd Reagan, Earl Reagan, Johnny Reagan, Meryl Reagan, Earl Ray and Ricky Bell. She is survived by son, Charles (Betty) Johnson; daughter, Melissa (Scott) Woods; brother, Lester Bell; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Monday, January 8, 2024 from 4:00p.m. to 6:00p.m. at Rocky Valley Baptist Church with a memorial service to follow with speaker Delmer Owens and Rev. Ken Lacey Officiating.
