MCCORD, age 82, of Mascot, TN, born June 12, 1924, passed away on March 13, 2007. He was a retired trucker, a veteran of World War II, and a member of the Church of Christ. Preceded in death by parents, James and Clara McCord; brother, James McCord; sister, Ruby Shrader. He is survived by his wife, Clara J. McCord; children, Carol Ann Hanna, John W. (Merrily) McCord, James S. (Irene) McCord, all of Washington, PA, Rodney L. McCord of Harrisburg, PA, Mary Jane (Robert) Rush of Springdale, AK; step-son, Bryant (Cathy) Dalton of Pigeon Forge, TN; brothers and sisters, Laura Jean Rummer of Coolville, OH, Shirley Strott of Colorado Springs, CO, Harold R. McCord of Washington, PA, Bernard McCord of Ogden, UT; fifteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; five step grandchildren; six step great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will gather at 1:45 p.m. Thursday, March 15, 2007 at Hillcrest Cemetery for a 2:00 p.m. military graveside interment service with Rev. Bennie Hackler officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge.
