Shirley Nichols Thornhill

Shirley Nichols Thornhill, born April 11, 1939, beloved mother and friend, returned home on Jan. 31, 2003. Those remaining to cherish her remembrance are a loving son, Jeff Thornhill; daughter Angela Rogers and son in law, Randy; grandson, Nolan; brothers, Lester Nichols and wife, Ruth, John Nichols and wife, Joan; sisters, Ruth Hopkins, Edith Kinsler and husband, Hugh Kyle, Sue Keller and husband, Bill and five nephews and three nieces. The family wished to convey a heartfelt thanks to her special companion, Maurice Euverard and his family for brightening her life. Shirley was a member of the Eastern Star, president of the Dandridge Ruritan Club and served as Zone Governor. She was presently manager of the Pizza Plus in Dandridge and was a member of the Higher Ground Baptist Church in Kingsport. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to your favorite charity. Funeral services Sunday at 8 p.m. at the Dandridge First United Methodist Church. Graveside interment service, Monday, 11 a.m. at Grants Chapel Cemetery.
