Shirley Denice Fox Parton

Shirley Denice Fox Parton, age 71, of Dandridge, TN, passed away Thursday , August 1, 2024, at University of Tennessee Medical Center, Knoxville, Tennessee. A private service was held August 19, 2024, in Erwin, Tennessee, with her closest family in attendance. 

Denice was the daughter of the late David Carson Fox and Gladys Lou "Pat" Spencer. She was preceded in death by her two sons Billijack and Jackie Tipton; and the love of her life, Robert Parton. Denice will join her sisters Nora Angeline "Angie", Della, and Faye in Heaven. 

She leaves behind her sisters Bonnie Maybelle (Louie) Konya, Linda (Randy) Arrowood, & Nancy (John) Key; brother, Tim Fox; stepmother, Bertie Boyd; grandson, Daniel Tipton; special granddaughters, Khloe Fuqua & Ashley Effler; step-grandsons, Destin & Devin Parton; and stepson, Robert Parton. 

Denice enjoyed being outdoors. She loved camping and fishing at Douglas lake, and working in her garden.
