Sherry A. Cox passed away on November 4, 2023.
Sherry was born on May 30, 1952. She grew up in Sevierville, TN. She raised two daughters in Dandridge, TN. Her career efforts were spent working for Bush Bros. and Co. She worked many years at their Chestnut Hill location and ended her career at their corporate office in Knoxville. Working for this east Tennessee company gave her much joy. She always talked about her cohorts as if they were family members. This will be an everlasting and fond memory for us!
Sherry and her husband, James, have resided in Knoxville, TN, together for over 20 years. They were very active in the Oak Ridge community with organizations and charities.
She was predeceased by her father, Floyd Denton, her mother, Virginia Denton, and her sister, Evelyn Rines.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Carrie and Jeremy Hall and their daughter and son-in-law, Kesleah and Matt Roberts, her daughter Melissa Church, her step-grand Aubrey Church, nieces Shea and Leah Rines, great nieces, Allie, Haylee, Kaydence, and Nadea
James’ children: Kelly Davis and Daniel McNew, granddaughter Alexus Lamb and husband Travis, grandson Blake Daugherty, Ashley Bailey and great grands Brooklyn, Ashton, Connor, and Maddox.
Sherry touched everyone’s lives in a joy-filled, contagious way. Her face was always smiling, and her devotion to all life’s tasks was never less than one hundred percent. Her nature was to give and give some more. We are grateful for her salvation and how the Lord provided for her life here on earth and we are overjoyed she is with our Great Provider now.
We thank everyone that was a friend to our mother and our family during her life. Many memories were made due to you our family, friends, and community. We have felt loved, and cared for, during our lives and especially as mom journeyed through her latter days.
Her life will be honored on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at Farrar Funeral Home, White Pine 1806 Main St, White Pine, TN
Family and friends are welcome for visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, November 9, 2023 at the White Pine Cemetery.
