SHELBA JEAN CURRY, age 75, of Dandridge, TN passed away peacefully Monday, December 30, 2013. She was born in Jefferson City, TN, the daughter of the late Curtis and Cleva Rankin Cox. She spent many years living in the Greater Daytona Beach, FL area where she raised her family before returning to Jefferson County, where she practiced nursing and enjoyed caring for others. She was a long-time member of the French Broad Church of the Brethren where she taught church school and also participated in the church choir. She enjoyed a gifted talent of china painting and taught classes for this art. Preceded in death by her grandson, Christopher Frattin.
She is survived by her husband, Marshall Curry of Jefferson City; children, Mike Trower of Dandridge, Cindi McCormick of Heiskell, Robin Frattin of Ormond Beach, FL and Jeff Trower of Knoxville; Grandchildren, Nathan and Leah Trower, Josh and Grayson McCormick, Aaron Frattin, Mikayla Trower; Great-Grandchildren, Brentley and Kennedy McCormick; brother, Terry Cox; sister, Judy Gregory; special friend, Bonnie Warren; and her many high school friends she made earnest effort to stay in touch with.
Funeral services, Thursday, January 2, 2014, 7:00pm at the French Broad Church of the Brethren of White Pine with Rev. Ron Wine officiating. Interment services will be private.
