Shannon Crooke, age 82 of New Market passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023 in Knoxville. He was a beloved husband, father and grandad. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary Rines Crooke; beloved daughter, Paula Lee Crooke Rebeiz. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Lou Chandler Crooke, son, Duane Shannon Crooke, daughter, Stephanie Chandler Crooke Bryan and her husband, Sam Bryan; son that was raised as their own, Charles Shannon Chandler and his wife Sabrina Chandler, son-in-law, Camille Rebeiz, grandchildren, Emile, Elias, Hezekiah, Samantha, Elizabeth, Marianne, Benjamin, Kaleb and Kenzie, great-grandchild, Joshua, special heart children, Holli Doughty Pittman and Melina Rogers, several special nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a member of Piedmont Baptist Church, a miner for 41 years and retired from Barrick Goldstrike Gold Mine in Nevada and was a Cold War Patriot. He enjoyed music, family, farming and carpentry. During his working career he was very accomplished where he was a certified mill wright and certified EMT. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Jefferson Park for their loving care and to the 5^th floor staff at Parkwest Hospital.

            Friends may pay their respects on Friday, November 24, 2023, between the hours of 9:00am and 5:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge. Graveside Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2023, 10:00am in Piedmont Cemetery.
