Shane Michael Swicegood

SHANE M. SWICEGOOD, age 30, of Jefferson City, TN passed away Monday, June 1, 2009 at St. Mary?s Residential Hospice after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a member of East Tennessee Riders and was an electrical engineering technician with Mahle Corp. He attended Jefferson City Church of Christ. Shane graduated from Jefferson County High School in 1996, ITT in 1999 and also attended Carson-Newman College and Tusculum College. He loved music and was taking violin lessons. Preceded in death by father, Corky Swicegood; grandfathers, Hubert Swicegood and Hassell Brewer. Survived by wife, Nadine Swicegood; mother and step-father, Debbie and Danny Ogle of Dandridge, TN; grandmothers, Revis Brewer of Jefferson City and Joyce Swicegood of New Market; step-grandparents, Glenda and David Ogle of Sevierville; brother-in-law, Sammy Slagle of South Carolina; father-in-law, Larry Slagle of Harriman, TN; mother-in-law, Joan Eldreth of Bristol, TN; grandmother-in-law, Vada Scyphers of Bristol, TN; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Memorial funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Saturday, June 6, 2009 from the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Dr. Sonny Strange officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. prior to the service.
