Serdel F. Corbett

Serdel F. Corbett, age 65 of Dandridge, TN died Sunday morning, Jan. 11, 2004 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital following a long battle with cancer. He was born Jan. 20, 1938 in Mt. Morris, IL and was the son of the late Frank and Josie Riley Corbett. A long time resident of Dandridge, he was a member of the First Baptist Church, Brazelton Lodge #190 F & AM and was retired from Magnavox and Wal Mart. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Baker Corbett; daughters and sons, Beth and Jimmy Ballinger, Rebecca and Rob Price; grandsons, Daniel and David Price and Caleb and Nicholas Ballinger; aunt, Mary kate Acaley and several cousing. Funeral services will be Monday, Jan. 12, 2004 at 8 p.m. at the Farrar Dandridge Chapel with Dr. Robert McCray and Dr. Sonny Strange officiating. Interment graveside services will be Tuesday, 11 a.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Societ,, c/o Mary Ellen Darby, 1321 Laurel Hills Circle, Jefferson City, TN 37760.
