Selma Rhea Russell

Selma Rhea Russell, age 83 of Strawberry Plains, TN, passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Jefferson Park Nursing Home.  She is preceded in death by her mother, Viva Henderson, step father, S.F. “Bess” Henderson, and brother, Bill Sprinkle.  She was of the Baptist faith.  She retired from Southern Bell after 30 years of service.  She is survived by her husband, Oren C. Russell, daughter, Pamela Lynne (Scott) Liedel, grandchildren, twins, Mackenzie Shae (Alex) Jones, and Dakota Liedel, brother, Tom (Doris) Sprinkle, special sister, Elayne Frederick, and several nieces and nephews.  Graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at Hillcrest Cemetery with Rev. Darrell Chambers officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday prior to the graveside service.
