Sarah Elizabeth Hoffner

ELIZABETH KETNER HOFFNER, age 84 of New Market, TN passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at University of Tennessee Medical Center following an extended illness.  She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who was always caring for others by putting them first and made sure they had all they needed.  She was a hard-working mother who cared for her family and helped A.J. and family with the farming chores.  She was preceded in death by her parents, James Bruce Ketner and Cora E. (Russell) Ketner; beloved husband, A.J. Hoffner. She is survived by her children, Ada (Buddy) Lindsay, James (Deborah) Hoffner, Walter (Karen) Hoffner; grandchildren, Beth Anne (Lawrence) Mayi, Sarah (Vints) Holden, Stacie (Harry) Wright, Katie (Anthony) Rainbolt, Lillie (James) Long, Jamie Hoffner, Ashley (Adam) Myers, Josh (Abbey) Hoffner, Jessie (Doug) Parton and Ariel White and several great-grandchildren; sister, Magelene Murry; brother, Floyd Ketner.  Funeral services will be held Friday, May 19, 2023, 6:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sherri Franklin and Rev. Sherry Sellers officiating. Graveside interment service will be Saturday, May 20, 2023, 11:00am at McCampbell’s Chapel Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00pm to 6:00pm prior to service at the funeral home.
