Sanford Barbee, Jr.age 83, of Jefferson City, TN went to his heavenly home on January 1, 2011. God gave him the talent to be a great farmer. He was a prominent farmer of Jefferson County for many years. Jr. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sanford and Gladys Talbott Barbee; sister, Wilma Barbee Purkey; and brother-in-law, Benjamin Jolly. He is survived by his brother, William Mayford Barbee; sister, Glenda Jolly; niece, Ann (Aaron) Billings; nephews, David (Mary Jane) Purkey, Timothy Jolly, and Tony (Amanda) Jolly; great nephews and nieces, Nick Purkey, Laura Purkey, Madison Jolly, and Brooklyn Jolly. Family and friends will gather at 12:45 p.m. Monday, January 3, 2011 at Mountain View Church Cemetery for a 1:00 p.m. graveside funeral service. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Sunday, January 2, 2011 at Farrar Funeral Home.
