He attended Talbott Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Preceded in death by father, W. L. Griggs and sister, Ruth Lynn Griggs. Survived by wife, Susan Griggs; son, Daniel Griggs; daughter, Jennifer Griggs all of Jefferson City; mother, Hellon Griggs of White Pine; sisters, Rosemary Griggs and Jeanny Preston, both of Clarksville, Lillie Griggs of White Pine and Janet Hill of Talbott; brothers, W.L Griggs, Jr. of Hartsville, SC, Roy Griggs of Smyrna, TN and Eric Griggs of White Pine; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Neill and Dot Catron of New Market. Funeral services 7:00 PM Monday, Dec. 5, 2005 at Talbott Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Richard Snowden and Rev. Tammy Greene officiating. Family and friends will gather 10:45 AM Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2005 at Economy Cemetery (Morristown) for a 11:00 AM Graveside interment service. Family will receive friends Monday evening 5:00 to 7:00 PM prior to the funeral service. The family kindly requests in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to a charity of your choice.
