SAMUEL G. (S.G.) NEWMAN, JR., age 92, of Jefferson City, TN went home to be with Jesus on January 17, 2011 at Jefferson City Health and Rehab. He was a member of Magna View Baptist Church. Survived by son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Janice Newman; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Nell and Steve Drinnon; six grandchildren, Michael Newman, Leanne Carpenter, Doug Drinnon, Anita Haney, Adam Newman; step-grandaughter, Sandi Castellaw; eight great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren. Memorial service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, January 20, 2011 at Jefferson City Health and Rehab. Family and friends will then meet at Jefferson Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service with Rev. George Miller officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Jefferson City Health and Rehab Activity Department, 283 W. Broadway Blvd., Jefferson City, TN 37760.
