Ruth Bernice Tucker Garrison

RUTH BERNICE TUCKER GARRISON, died January 9, 2011 after an extended illness. She was born August 7, 1934 near Charlotte, NC. She grew up in the community of Mallard Creek, where she met and married the late Robert Thomas Garrison. She was an amazing wife and mother. We loved her for her gentle spirit, tender loving ways and concern for others. We will miss her greatly, but know that she is free from pain and with her Lord and Savior. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Tom; her parents, Helen and Ray Tucker; and her brother, Buck Tucker. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Helen and Gary Hinton, Rose Flounders, Berneice and Steve Jordan, Jenny Foit, Julie and Tim Anglea; grandchildren, Jody Hinton, Rosemarie Owen, Bonnie and Amy Jordan, Ashley Henry and Jason Foit, Rachael and Timothy Anglea; sisters, Loyce T. Garrison, Jane Tadlock, Essie Johnston and Sarah Alexander. Family will receive friends Wednesday, January 12, 2011 from 5:30 until 7:00 p.m. at Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City. Visitation will be held Friday, January 14, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.at Raymer Funeral Home in Huntersville, NC. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Mallard Creek Presbyterian Church. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.
