Ruth Denton Hart

RUTH DENTON HART, our Beloved Mother, born April 25, 1939, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, March 3, 2015. She was a member of Piedmont Baptist Church. She dedicated her life to serving the Lord and her family. Her service and sacrifice permeated her very existence, and you always received a heartfelt smile and conversation when you met her. She spent many years serving in ministries of the church including hospitality leader, home bound ministry, church school secretary, vacation bible schools and others, never wanting to be in the spotlight but always serving. She is preceded in death by husband, David W Denton; husband, Hobart Hart Jr.; son, David Randall Denton; parents, Willie M and Agnes Reneau; grandson, Jacob Tyler Coffey. She will be greatly missed by son, Rick Denton; daughters, Lorri (Lenny) Miller, Kristi (Jeff) Coffey, Karen Hart, Rosemary (Keith) Jackson; grandchildren, Nick Mason, Courtney Mason, Dustin (Hannah) Miller, Kelsey (Dalton) Knight, Madison Coffey, Casey (Jennifer) Bradley, Mary Ellen Bradley; great granddaughters, Ruth Anne Miller, Isabel Bradley and Georgia Bradley, sister; Billie (Gordon) Walker, brother; Chester (Dottie) Reneau. Special thanks to her pastor and wife, Bob and Amy Neal, for their love and attention, to her friends who have shown care and compassion, and to those care givers who have brightened her days. May God’s blessings be with you until we meet in heaven. Funeral services, Friday, March 6, 2015, 7:00pm at the Piedmont Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Neal officiating. Interment graveside services, Saturday, 11:00am at Hillcrest Cemetery. Family will receive friends Friday evening, 5:00 to 7:00pm prior to services at the church.
