Ruth B. Gmeinweiser

RUTH B. GMEINSWEISER, formerly of Jefferson City, TN, died on Thursday, September 10, 2009 at Autumn Care Nursing Home in Waynesville, North Carolina. She was born in Lawrence County, Tennessee on September 21, 1915, the daughter of the late P. D. Bridges and his wife, Ada Pullen Bridges. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence H. (?Nebb?) Gmeinweiser, and her brother, Vache D. Bridges. Ruth was for many years the secretary at First United Methodist Church in Jefferson City, where she and Nebb had lived since World War II. She is survived by her niece, Edith Bridges Thurman of Lake Junaluska, North Carolina; and her husband?s niece, Betty Haynes of Columbia, Tennessee. The funeral service will be at First United Methodist Church in Jefferson City at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 14 with Rev. Doug Wilder officiating. Family visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery.
