Ruth Denton Dance Leonard

Ruth Denton Dance Leonard, age 68 of New Market, TN passed away Thursday afternoon, Dec. 2, 2004 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center following a brief illness. She was a member of the Grace Baptist Church where she had taught Sunday School and was faithful to her church and was a retired employee of the Tennessee Handbags Co. Ruth was preceded in death by her husbands, Loy Dance and Claude leonard; parents, Glenn and Frances Manning Denton. Survived by cousins, Conard Denton, Mary Manning Gibson, Bill, Joe and Wayne Manning, Barbara Reese Engel and Gail Reese Potts. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to her church, grace Baptist Church, c/o Curt Wilson, 752 Cline Road, Dandridge, TN 37725. Funeral serivce will be Saturday, 7 p.m. at Farrar Funeral Home, Dandridge with Rev. Jim Smith officiating. Interment graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 5, 2004 at Hillcrest Cemetery.
