Ruth Naomi Adcock Hickman

RUTH NAOMI ADCOCK HICKMAN, age 89, of Strawberry Plains TN, went to Heaven to be with her savior on Friday, February 5, 2010. She passed away peacefully at Jefferson City Health and Rehab Center. Ruth was a lifelong resident of Jefferson County, TN, and her home church was Piney Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Leona and Melvin Adcock. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Elvon H. Hickman and their son David. She is survived by daughter, Linda Wilcox and husband Roger of Grand Rapids MI; granddaughter, Terri Wells and her husband Daniel of Georgetown KY; grandson, Jeffery McDaniel and his wife Kathy of Jefferson City; grandson, Matthew and granddaughter, Robin Gaeth of Grand Rapids, MI; and eight great grandchildren; one sister, Irene Blair of Knoxville, TN. The family wishes to express special appreciation to Jefferson City Health and Rehab for their years of loving care. Visitation will be at 12:00 noon Wednesday,February 10th at Piney Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Shawn Province and Rev. Mike Lee officiating. Interment will follow the service at Piney Church cemetery.
