RUBY LUCILLE MURPHY LAYMAN DALTON, age 85, of Dandridge, TN departed this life on Monday, May 10, 2010 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's. Preceded in death by parents, John and Ada Patterson; husbands, Ray Purphy, Howard (Dood) Layman and Paul C. Dalton; brothers, Ray, Kyle, Gene and Ralph Patterson; sisters, Minnie Dalton Seay, Aileen Murphy and Ruth Webb. She is survived by children, Wade Turner Murphy and wife, Norma of Talbott, Kay and Frankie French, Brenda and J. Ray Walker, all of Dandridge; grandchildren, Ray and Tonja Murphy of Talbott, Kelley and Donnie Longmire of Rutledge, Beverly McGaha of Dandridge, Misty and Jeff Duncan and J. H. Walker; great-grandchildren, Hunter and Landree Murphy, Tiffany and Chase Longmire, Ashlee and Preston McGaha, Hayley, Derrick, Jessie and Sammie Duncan. Special thanks to Dr. Lance Patton and Covenant Hospice. Funeral service will be 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge with Rev. Ernie Coleman and Rev. Carl Bryan officiating. Graveside interment service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 13, 2010 in Deep Springs Cemetery.
