HENDRIX, age 84 of Jefferson City, TN passed away at 5:45 a.m. Thursday, June 16, 2005 at her residence following an extended illness. A member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, she was retired from Carson Newman College with 26 years of service. Preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Hendrix. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Marvin Gabbard of Tellico Plains, Julia (Phyllis) and O. C. Duck, Jr. of Knoxville; sons and daughters-in-law, Johnny (Fred) and Linda Hendrix of Jefferson City, Joey and Susan Hendrix of Tellico Plains; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sister, Polly Davis of Ohio; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 17, 2005 from the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Reverend Daniel Hix officiating. Family and friends will gather at 11:45 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2005 at Westview Cemetery for a 12:00 p.m. graveside interment service.
