Ruby Hazel Bates

HAZEL RUBY BATES, age 85 of Kodak, TN passed away Thursday morning, October 4, 2018 at the Life Care Center of Jefferson City where she had been a resident for the past ten years. She was the only child of the late Francis and her step-mother Gwendolyn (Davis) Bates. Ruby was a retired employee of the Standard Knitting Mill of Knoxville and was a member of the Dumplin Baptist Church. She is survived by several cousins and many friends from her work, church and community and especially her Life Care Center family who cared for her affectionately. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 7, 2018 from 1:00 to 2:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge and then will meet at Oak Grove Cemetery, Kodak, TN for a graveside funeral service at 2:30pm with Pastor Donnie De La Cruz officiating.
