Ruble Miller

RUBLE MILLER, age 74, of New Market, TN (Piedmont community) passed away Wednesday afternoon, June 29, 2011 following a long battle with cancer. He was born August 25, 1936, the son of the late Dave and Carolyn Brogan Miller. Ruble was a member of the Piedmont Baptist Church and was recently retired from the Jefferson County School Bus Garage after 43 years of faithful service. He will be respectfully remembered by school bus drivers, teachers, supervisors and many bus riders for his dedicated service and expertise in running the Bus Garage for so many years. Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 51 years, Virsey Sweet Miller (May 11, 2011); and son, Ricky Miller. He is survived by his granddaughters, Terria Miller, Kim Terrell and Cora Butterworth; brother, T. J. (Helen) Miller; several nieces and nephews and many friends and co-workers. A special thanks is extended to our church families and everyone that has been so supportive during the sickness and passing of Ruble and Virsey. Funeral service will be 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2011 at the Piedmont Baptist Church with Rev. Byron Chambers officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service.
