Roy Logan "Pops" Gywnn

ROY LOGAN GWYNN (?Pops?), age 92, of Jefferson City, TN passed away Friday, February 5, 2010 at Life Care Center of Jefferson City following a brief illness. For many years, Roy was an active member and treasurer at Lennon-Seney United Methodist Church of Knoxville, TN and was employed by TVA for more than 40 years. He was preceded in death by parents, Roy and Bessie Gwynn; son, Peter; sister, McKenzie; and first wife, Martha. Roy?s family and friends will miss him dearly. He leaves to mourn his passing a devoted wife, Virginia (Sheets) Gwynn; sister, Ennys Berry of Mooristown, NJ; daughters, Carolyn (Myron) Fleming of Washington, DC, Pat Crippins of Lawrenceville, GA, Charlotte (Michael) Tate of Dacula, GA; son, James Edward Gwynn of Sparta, TN; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family expresses appreciation to James Dean, Angela Clay, Henry Davidson, Larry Pinkston, Lennon-Seney United Methodist Church, Boyd?s Chapel United Methodist Church, and Life Care Center of Jefferson City. The family will receive friends at Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m., with the memorial service to follow at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Mary Ellen Darby, 1321 Laurel Hills Circle, Jefferson City, TN 37760.
