Roy M. Newman

ROY M. NEWMAN, SR., age 72, of Dandridge, TN passed away suddenly on Monday, January 09, 2012. He was a long-time truck driver and was well known by his fellow truckers as the K-Town Doctor. Son of the late Charles and Audra Newman, he was also preceded in death by his wives, Ruth Byrd, Liz Newman and Pat Newman; daughter, Donna Workman; grandson, Joshua Greene; brothers, Carl and Joe Newman; sisters, Joyce Walker, Juanita Loveday, and Myrtle Mae Wise; son-in-law, Randy Noe. Survived by children; Belinda Noe and Roy Newman, Jr.; brothers, Charlie, Nelson, George and James Newman; sisters, Roberta Dalton and Rowena Lowe; 8 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Wednesday, January 11, 2012, 8:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel Dandridge with Dr. Sonny Strange and Rev. Clay Baysinger officiating. Graveside interment service will be Thursday, 1:00pm at Swanns Chapel Cemetery.
