ROY EDWARD HODGE, age 93, of Rutledge, TN, born September 5, 1922 to Willie and Nettie Wilmoth Hodge, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 13, 2016. He was a dedicated member, former deacon, and servant of Oakland Baptist Church who loved his Lord and longed to see him face to face. He was a Grainger County Commissioner for several years. In 1947, he married Jean Cameron, the love of his life, who died April 30, 2015. Preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Walter Hodge, Curt Hodge, Dudley Hodge, Bessie Wilmoth, Ola Wilmoth, Ora Roach and Meta Reagan. Survived by daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Max Combs; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Bethany and Tommy Morgan; great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Makayla Morgan; sister-in-law, Anna Lee Underwood; nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Farrar Funeral Home with Rev. Stacey Lawson, Rev. Gary Satterfield and Norman Acuff officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. Family and friends will gather at 10:45 a.m. on Friday morning at Oakland Baptist Church Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Gideons International. Special thank you to the staff of Life Care of Jefferson City for their loving care over the past year. Roy loved to live where he worked, and loved to work where he lived……on his farm.
