HICKMAN, age 81, of Jefferson City, TN passed away at his home on Friday morning, February 4, 2005. He was a member and deacon of Mansfield Gap Baptist Church, having served as chairman of the deacons and a trustee. He was a life long farmer of Jefferson County. Preceded in death by his parents, Lon and Ethel Hickman; sister, Douglas Mitchell; and grandson, Terry Hickman. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Billie Jean Bettis Hickman; sons, Bill and wife, Gail, Tom and wife, Judy; grandchildren, Shannon Oliver, John Hickman, Tyler Hickman; great grandchildren, Annsley Gail and Ross Thomas Oliver; sister, Hersel Widener; sister-in-law, Georgia Murphy; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Saturday, February 5, 2005 from the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Reverend William Bradley and Reverend Danny Matthews officiating. Family and friends will gather at 1:45 p.m. Sunday, February 6, 2005 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens for a 2:00 p.m. graveside interment service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.
