Ronnie Lee Shands

RONNIE LEE SHANDS, age 70, of Jefferson City, TN passed away on the 28th of August, 2014 at his home after a brief illness. He was a member of First Baptist Church and a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers for 40 years. He retired from U. S. Postal service after 33 years as a letter carrier. He was an avid fisherman and loved to travel. Preceded in death by his father, A. D. Shands; mother, Opal Shands; sister, Jolene Denton; and brothers, Bobby, Jackie, Butch and Jerry Shands. He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Helen Elaine Shands; brother, Bill Shands (Patsy), niece, Donna Stubblefield (Don); son, Lee Shands (Betzaida); daughter, Wendy O’Neal (Lindsey); step-son, Daniel Abbott; step-daughter, Jennifer Acuff (Ryan); eight grandchildren, Logan, Dylan, Isabella, Lindsay, Samuel, George, Clay and Sawyer; several aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives. The family will hold a private celebration of life gathering, at the family home, on Monday, September 1. Condolences may be sent to Elaine Shands.
