Ronnie Barnett Housholder

RONNIE BARNETT HOUSHOLDER, age 70, of Gatlinburg, TN and formerly of Charlotte and Asheville, NC passed away on May 8, 2012 with his family by his side. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy for nine years, having served aboard the USS Enterprise during the Vietnam era, where he earned several decorations and awards for his service. He worked for GE Energy and was called to be an early responder for the 9/11 recovery to set up turbine power at Ground Zero, and later was employed by GE Wind as a Field Engineer. He was a great inspiration and teacher to his nephews and nieces. He charmed everyone with his unique sense of humor. Ronnie grew to know and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was preceded in death by his parents, W. Ray and Katherine Housholder and is survived by his wife, Sherry Housholder; brother and sister-in-law, William H. (Bill) and Pat Housholder; sister and brother-in-law, Jerrie and Sid Dodd; nephews, Sydney Dodd IV, David and Nicole Dodd and grand-nieces, Ashleigh and Lauren Dodd.
