Ronald Alan Whitley

RONALD ALAN WHITLEY, age 61, of Dandridge, TN passed away Thursday, January 30, 2014. He was a member of the French Broad Valley Baptist Church. He was a retired truck driver and beloved member of the community, where he enjoyed working and coaching with youth sports programs. Ron loved more than anything to watch his grandchildren play sports. Preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Vivian Whitley; brother-in-law, Michael Roddy. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Katherine Elaine Whitley; children, Jeff (Mary) Whitley, Brian (Monica) Whitley, Mark (Stephanie) Whitley; grandchildren, Trevor, Ashley, Emily and Alexander Whitley, Sam Haas, Landon and Ethan Sexton; sisters, Susan McNinch and Sandy DesMarais; aunt, Jenny (Mac) McClain; several brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services Sunday, 2:00pm at the French Broad Valley Baptist Church, Kodak, TN with Rev. EV Robertson officiating. Interment to follow at the Underwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening, 5:00 to 7:00pm at FARRAR FUNERAL HOME, DANDRIDGE
