Ronald Edgar "Ronnie" French

RONALD EDGAR "RONNIE" FRENCH, age 70, of New Market, TN (Piedmont community) passed away Friday morning, September 25, 2009 at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. He was a prominent farmer of Jefferson County and was well known and respected throughout the farming community. Ronnie served on various boards, including Jefferson Farmers Co-Op, Jefferson Cattleman's Association, Jefferson County Sanitation Board, and was a member of several other agricultural organizations and the Rocky Valley Baptist Church. Preceded in death by his father and mother, Edgar and Wanda Clark French. He is survived by his wife, Bertie Jean French; brother, Gary French and wife Cindy of Springfield, TN; sisters-in-law, Becky (Harold) Moore of Dandridge and Donna (Frank) Batson of Morristown; several beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, September 27, 2009 from the Farrar Jefferson City Funeral Chapel with Rev. Charlie Harkleroad officiating. Graveside interment service will be at sunrise (7:24 a.m.) on Monday, September 28, 2009 at Piedmont Cemetery.
