Ronald C. (Ronnie) Autrey

RONALD C. (RONNIE) AUTREY, age 59, of Dandridge, TN passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 in Tyrone, Pennsylvania. Ronnie was employed by US Express Truck Lines as a long haul driver. He was a member of Deep Springs Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Air Force. On the rare occasions he was home, Ronnie enjoyed building computers and tinkering with cars. If he was able to work in a round of golf, that was an added bonus. When a friend or neighbor needed help with a project or home repair, he was always ready, willing and able to get the job done. We who are left are going to miss his smile, his compassion for family and fellowmen and especially his hilarious stories of life on the road. Our lives were surely made happier when he was around. Ronnie was preceded in death by his father, Keltz C. Autrey; grandparents, Henry and Sara Suttles and Richard and Lizzie Autrey; step-father, Bill Dezearn; niece, Misty Michelle Glenn; uncles, Alvin Autrey, Carl (Grace) Autrey; and aunt, Eloise (Hoy) Hatcher. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie ?Stephie? and Joel Bound of Dandridge; mother, Eula Autrey Dezearn; sisters, Libby (Gary) Glenn and Kathy Alexander; very special cousin, Dwight Hatcher, all of Dandridge; nephews and nieces, James (Debbie) Alexander of Talbott, Ray Alexander of Texas, Amy Alexander of Knoxville, Kevin (Lesia) Glenn of Dandridge, Kelly Jo (Chad) Allen of Pittman Center; uncles, Clarence (Florence) Autrey of Chesterton, Indiana, Glenn (Joyce) Suttles of Chesapeake, Virginia, Doye (Ruth) Suttles of Kodak; aunt, Mrs. Alvin (Johnnie) Autrey of Wears Valley. Family and friends will be welcomed Saturday, February 5, from 1:00 until 2:30 p.m. at Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge before proceeding to Deep Springs Cemetery for a graveside service at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Chad Chambers officiating. Pallbearers are his cousin, Dave England, friends, Kevin Jordan and Barry Mitchell, nephews, Kevin Glenn, James Alexander and Chad Allen. Arrangements by Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge, TN (865) 397-2711
