 ALL VETERANS ARE WELCOME!

Ronald Joe Miller, age 76, of Jefferson City, TN went to be with the Lord and his family Sunday, April 21, 2024 due to a brief illness. Ronald was born in Mason, West Virginia and grew up in Key West  where he sold newspapers and carried his bible door to door to spread the Lord’s word at 12 years old. His dear childhood friend, Bob J. Bernreuter wrote a fairytale book called The Gift. His mother raised him around the local family restaurant, Deli Restaurant, which was open for 75 years and would give him old coins that he collected. His childhood fueled his love for the ocean. Ronald’s step-father, Hans Haran taught him how to fish and raised him as his own. Ronald loved to tinker and go on walks. He retired as a forklift operator at International Paper. He was also an Army veteran and served in the Vietnam War. He had a deep love for his family and friends.

Ronald is preceded in death by his parents, Orn and Lilly Miller; and brothers, Charles Miller, Fred Miller, and Gary Miller. He is survived by his loving wife of 24years, Sharon Miller; sons, Steven Miller and Jospeh Miller; daughter, Sara (David) Boncher; step-sons, Tony Smyers and Scotty Smyers; grandchildren, Eric Miller, Emily Boncher, Cole Boncher, Lindsey Miller, and Dylan Miller; step-grandchildren, Isbell Smyers, Julian Smyers, and Brendon Smyers; sister, Linda Winslow; Nieces, Rebecca Holt, Hayley Justice, Jennifer Kerse, Sabrina Kerse, and Brooke Ashley Kerse; and several other family members. All family members, friends, and veterans are welcome to join a gathering of friends Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at Farrar Funeral Home, Jefferson City from 9:30a.m.- 11:30a.m. then proceed to the East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery for a 12:30p.m. military graveside service with Volunteer State Honor Guard officiating.
