Robert (Bob) Wilson

ROBERT (BOB) WILSON, age 92, of Dandridge, TN, born December 15, 1917 to Silas Edgar (Ed) and Nellie Edwin Dance Wilson (Mam), passed away February 25, 2010. He was of the Baptist faith, saved at Green Hill Church. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving during World War II and retired from New Jersey Zinc Company of Jefferson City. Preceded in death by his dad and mother; brothers, Ivan, Paul, Donald and Beecher; sister, Geneva Elizabeth Gann; and great-granddaughter, Sharina Dean Wolfe. Survived by wife of 61 years, Mary Ruth Pollard Wilson; step-daughter, Carolyn Mowry and husband, William; five grandchildren, Penny Adcock, Billy Gann and wife, Suzanne, Shari Hurd and husband, Bret, Candie Dalton, Veronica Alleshouse and husband, James; eleven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. The family would like to give a special thanks to Home Health nurses Penni and Patsy for all the love and support during his sickness. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 27, 2010 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Tommy Lindsey and Rev. Ed Trent officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1:00 p.m. Sunday at Farrar Funeral Home to proceed to Dandridge Memorial Gardens for a 2:00 p.m. graveside interment service.
