ROBERT C. WILLIAMS, age 83, a retired television engineer, died January 18, 2009 of cancer at his home in Dandridge, TN. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he was raised in Manitowoc, where he graduated from Lincoln High School. He graduated from television engineering school in Chicago, Illinois. Before moving to Dandridge, Tennessee in 1980, he worked in the early days of black and white television in Franklin Park, Illinois and Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U. S. Army. He was an avid golfer, a voracious reader, an inspired gardener, a champion bowler, and a committed volunteer at Holy Trinity Church. Survivors include his beloved wife of 60 years, Mary Williams, three cherished children, daughter, Tess Cieux of Washington, DC, daughter and son-in-law,Colleen and Paul Krauledis of Wheeling, Illinois, son and daughter-in-law, Robert J. and Christine Williams of Chicago, Illinois; brother, Giles; two sisters, Joan and Marian; six grandchildren, Tara and husband Eric, Abigail, Carly and husband Bradick, Joseph, Megan and Michael; two great-grandchildren, Keely and Nickolas; and a host of other relatives and friends. We will remember him for his love of life and laughter, and most of all, for his lasting devotion to Mary Williams, who, in his own words, was ?the love of his life.? The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Jefferson City. Memorial mass will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Father Dan Whitman officiating. The body will be transported to Reinbold-Pfeffer Funeral Home in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, where graveside interment service will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, January 24, 2009 at Calvary Cemetery and Chapel Mausoleum.
