Robert Stanley Wilkinson

ROBERT STANLEY WILKINSON, age 77, of Dandridge, TN passed away Friday, November 13, 2009 at his home. He was born in Farmington, MI, attended Lansing Catholic High School and graduated from the University of Detroit. A veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the U. S. Army, he retired as a counselor and teacher with the Livonia Public Schools in Michigan with 38 years of service. Following his retirement to East Tennessee, he had a passion for gardening, traveling and hiking in the Smoky Mountains. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Joan Wilkinson; children, James, Diane, Susan, Tracy, Marianne and Laurel; step-children, Laurie and Sara; ten grandchildren; brother, William; and sister, Marilyn. A service for the celebration of his life will be held Saturday, November 28, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hopewell Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
