Robert Louis Griffin

ROBERT LOUIS GRIFFIN, age 75, of Jefferson City, TN, formerly of Indianapolis, IN passed away on September 5, 2009. He was born in Paxton, Illinois, son of Gerald and Eura Mell Griffin. He passed away at home after an extended illness with his loving wife of 51 years by his side. Mr. Griffin graduated from Paxton High School in 1951 and DeVry Institute in 1959. He retired after 31 years as a computer engineer. He was a veteran of the Us Army, serving in the Korean Conflict and was of the Catholic faith. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, John and Ronald. Survived by his wife, Betty; sons, David Griffin of Indianapolis, IN, Phillip Griffin of Osaka, Japan, Eric (Gina) Griffin of Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren, Breanna Lee (Tyler) Bongen, Hanna Jo Griffin, Alexis Madison, Emily Morgan and Mary Alyson Griffin; great-grandchildren, Carter Griffin and Madison Leigh Bongen, all of Indianapolis, IN; brothers, Michael (Merrily) and James Griffin of Paxton, IL. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In honor of Mr. Griffin, memorials can be made to Amedisys Hospice, 1423 W. Morris Blvd., Morristown, Tn 37813.
