Robert Franklin Clark

ROBERT FRANKLIN CLARK, SR., age 85, of Strawberry Plains, TN went to be with the Lord on July 24, 2023 at his home. He was a great husband, father, grandfather and provider. He was a member of Mill Springs Baptist Church and retired from Roadway Express. Preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Bertha Clark; infant daughter, Pamela; second wife, Mary Clark; parents, Houston and Drewzillah Clark; brothers and sisters, Ruth, Ed, Jeter, Garfield and Annie Mae. He is survived by his children, Robert Clark, Jr. (Linda), Tim Clark, Richard Clark (Donna), and Teresa Clark; grandchildren, Joy, Zoey, Skylar, Jordan (Ben), Houston, Thai, Mathew (Jill), Chris (Beth), and Josh (Justine); great-grandchildren, Caleb, Clarissa, Evelyn, Austin, Avery Jean, Landon, Easton and Brantlee; brother and sisters, Kermit Clark (Kay), Judy Berry (Bill), Barbara Hamby (Doug) and Nancy Coffey; and many nieces and nephews. The family offers a special thanks to the staff of U. T. Hospice of Knoxville for taking care of our daddy. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital at LoveShriners.org or Shriner’s Hospital for Children, PO Box 1525, Ranson, WV 25438, or to East TN Children’s Hospital, 2018 Clinch Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37916. Family and friends may gather at 12:45 p.m. on Monday, July 31, 2023 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens for a 1:00 p.m. graveside inurnment service.
