Robert J. "Bob" Buchanan

ROBERT J. “BOB” BUCHANAN, age 81, of Dandridge, TN passed away Saturday evening, October 12, 2013 at his home. He was born, July 24, 1932 in Sundridge, Ontario Canada. He spent 43 years in Pompano Beach, FL as an auto body repair technician, and following his retirement in 2002 he moved to the Chestnut Hill Community of Jefferson County, TN because he loved the beauty of East Tennessee. He was a simple man who loved his family and friends and was avid sports enthusiast. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jeannine Thompson Buchanan; son and daughter-in-law, Terence and Cathleen Buchanan, and his beloved dog Molly; brother-in-law, John Thompson and his wife Lillian; nephew, Danny Rudolph; niece, Barbara Rudolph; brothers, Gary and Kenny Buchanan; half-brother, Don Buchanan; half-sister, Jacqueline Buchanan. There will be a private gathering of family to celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, or the Chestnut Hill United Methodist Church.
