Robert David Bishop

ROBERT DAVID BISHOP, age 74, of Talbott, TN passed away at 4:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 09, 2008 at his residence following a brief illness. Member of Lebanon Baptist Church and a veteran of the U. S. Navy. He was retired Assistant Regional Manager with Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency with 43 years of service. He was from the last graduating class (1951) of the Old Knoxville High School. Preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Billie Bishop. Survived by his loving wife, Sue Summitt Bishop; daughter and son-in-law, Crystal and Tim Bowlin of Bean Station; son and daughter-in-law, Roy and April Bishop of Morristown; grandchildren, Corey Bishop, Heather Bowlin and Tyler Bowlin; brother and sister-in-law, James L. and Jenay Bishop of Rutledge, TN; sister, Marian F. Youngblood of Atlanta, GA; several nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be held at 8:00 Friday, September 12, 2008 from the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Reverend R. J. Seale officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. prior to the memorial service. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Lebanon Baptist church, 7925 Greenbriar Road, Talbott, TN 37877 or to St. Mary's Hospice, 7447 Andersonville pike, Knoxville, TN 37938.
