RINGO FARRAR
Our extraordinary and beloved companion dog passed away from this world this week.
Ringo Farrar was born on November 30, 2007. He was adopted by happenstance while Kelly and Laura were on their way to lunch one winter day in January 2008. On a whim, they turned into the animal shelter and the rest is history.
Ringo’s appearance was so unique; his blue and brown eyes, heart-shaped, pink nose and beautiful merle coat were what made him stand out. While his appearance was so handsome, it was his personality that made all people gravitate to him and love him dearly. Ringo was what you might call “the people’s dog.” His constant smile and friendly demeanor were what made him the ideal companion dog for greeting families at the funeral home alongside his Pappy Jack.
Ringo had a deep love for food. Bacon, ham, French fries and steak were among his favorites. He also loved every treat his best friend J. Ray gave him at the funeral home. Ringo’s favorite day of the year was the Dandridge Christmas parade party at his Granny Tam’s house. We often wondered how many miles he trekked around the food table to solicit treats from anyone who was there.
Ringo and his Mom, Kelly, traveled everywhere together, from Johnson City to Asheville to Dandridge. He has now moved on to a place where he can run and be free until the day his Mom will be with him again at the Rainbow Bridge.
Ringo was loved by all, and as he would say, “what’s not to love?”
