Richard J. Wesp

RICHARD J. WESP, age 84, of Dandridge, TN passed away Tuesday morning January 28, 2014 at his home. He was born in St. Cloud, MN on December 1, 1929. He was retired from the United States Air Force after 24 years of service, and following his military retirement he worked 19 years for Lozier Corporation, a civilian company in Omaha, Nebraska. After spending 10 years in Henning, MN, they moved to Dandridge, TN in 2000. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and two sisters; son-in-law, Carl Johnson; granddaughter, Caitlin Wesp; great granddaughter, Hailey Wesp. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rose Wesp; sister, Bonnie Wesp; sons, Wayne (Linda) Wesp and Robert (Sandy) Wesp; daughters, Karen (Phil) Ford, Julie Johnson, Janet (George) Rody; eleven grandchildren, Julie Tomanek, Michael Wesp, Ronald Ford, Robert Ford, Kyle Wesp, Brian Wesp, Casey Wesp, Christie Robinson, Joshua Moore, Andrew Wesp and Victoria Wesp; sixteen great-grandchildren. Richard enjoyed bowling, camping, fishing, woodworking, watching westerns and spending time with his family. Funeral services, Thursday, January 30, 2014, 7:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel, Jefferson City. Interment graveside services with military honors, Friday 9:30am at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, 2200 E. Gov. John Sevier Highway, Knoxville, TN. Family will receive friends Thursday evening 5:00 to 7:00pm prior to services at FARRAR FUNERAL HOME, JEFFERSON CITY.
