Retha Mae Miller

It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of Ms. Retha Mae Miller, 85 years old. (February 19, 1922 to November 11, 2007) She was a resident at Trinity Missions of Farmville, VA, due to miltiple illnesses. She faithfully attended the Piedmont Church of Christ, in Farmville, VA. She will be missed greatly, but we find comfort in the knowledge that she is in Heaven and no longer suffers in any way. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Ralph Miller; as well as two of her three daughters; Shelby Joan DeLoach of Bowling Green, VA and Judy C. Turner of Farmville, VA. She is survived by her daughter, Mary L. Finchum of Farmville, VA and her son, Leroy Doan Lindsey of White Pine, TN. She is also survived by four siblings, Una Rimmer of Dandridge, TN, Annette Jones of Newport, TN, George Johnson of Oneida, TN and Steve Johnson of Cosby, TN. At the time of her death, she had eighteen grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; and thirteen great-great grandchildren. Her love of life and of the Lord will always inspire us. Time may pass, but our memories of her will always burn bright in our hearts. We are blessed to have had her in our lives and will hold her dear in our hearts. Her funeral will be held in Dandridge, TN at Farrar Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Thursday, November 15, 2007 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be Friday, November 16, 2007 at the Farrar Dandridge Chapel at 1:00 p.m., followed by interment at the Dandridge Memorial Gardens. Services will be conducted by Rev. James McFall.
