Reta Stallings

RETA UNDERWOOD STALLINGS, age 88, of New Market, TN passed away Wednesday evening, October 20, 2010 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church Strawberry Plains, TN. Preceded in death by her husband, Paul Stallings and son, Joe Stallings. She is survived by her twin daughters, Cathy Burchell and husband, Dennis and Carolyn Cate and husband, Joe Carroll; grandchildren, Angela Mitcham, Sherri Livingston and husband, Clay, Andrea Channell and husband, Wes, Gina Ogle and husband, Stormy, Justin Cate and wife, Cara Beth; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Geneva Jones and Ruth Creswell; several nieces and nephews, and special friend, Elizabeth Winstead. The family wishes to acknowledge their appreciation to the special caregivers at the Jefferson County Nursing Home, where she was loved by many. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Friday evening, October 22, 2010 at Farrar Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Stallings officiating. Family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. prior to the service. Family and friends will gather at 10:45 a.m. Saturday morning at Strawberry Plains Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service.
