Reba Hillard French

REBA HILLARD FRENCH, age 93, of Knoxville, TN and formerly of Dandridge, TN passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2009 after a brief illness. Reba was a member of Hopewell Presbyterian Church for many years before moving to Knoxville and joining Fountain City Presbyterian Church. She was the daughter of the late George and Ada Walker Hillard and was preceded in death by her husband, Conrad R. French; daughter, Mary Phyllis Dockery; brothers, Reiford Hillard, Ralph Hillard and Raymond Hillard, Sr.; sister, Ada Hillard Hickman. She is survived by her son, Conrad R. (Ron) French II of Knoxville; grandchildren, Kim Bennett (John) of Knoxville, Conrad R. (Andy) French III of Bluffton, SC, Lindsey French Saha (Gavin)of Nashville, TN; great-grandchildren, John Reed Bennett, Jr. and Stefanie Bennett of Knoxville; and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Fountain City Presbyterian Church, 500 Hotel Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37918. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 1, 2009 at the Farrar Dandridge Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
