Raymond W. Long

Raymond W. Long, age 76 of White Pine, TN passed away at 4:40 p.m. Saturday, November 23, 2002 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. He was a member of Beth Carr Methodist Church and was retired from Americna Enka. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the US Army. He was owner and operator of Hill Top Market and a member of Morristown VFW Post #5266. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jow and Zella Long and sister, Opal Jean Woods. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, nancy Waller Long of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Millie and Tom Young of Mary Esther, Florida, Rachel and Robert Mutter of White Pine, TN and reva and Charles Cowart of Sevierville, TN.; son and daughter-in-law, Weslay and Robbie Long of White Pine, TN; grandchildren, Marvin and Amy Mutter, Cathy Sims, Melissa Sparks, Michael and Mark Cobble, Michael Jones, Jason Long, Christopher Cowart, Heidi Meyer, Keith and Rhonda Young, Karen Helsing and Kim Smith; 21 great grandchildred; sister, Fayrene Knowling of Indiana and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2002 from the Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Hubert Bunch and Reverend Fred Lehrer officiating. Family and friends will gather at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2002 at the funeral home to proceed to the White Pine Cemetery for an 11 a.m. interment service with military honors given by the Morristown VFWPost # 5266.
