Raymond Arthur Dearing

RAYMOND ARTHUR DEARING, of Talbott, TN, beloved husband, father and grandfather, was called home to be with his Heavenly Father on December 18, 2010. ?Be still and know that I am God? Psalm 26:10. Ray was born June 12, 1928 in St. Louis, Missouri, where he made his home for 34 years. He spent 38 years in Indiana, and the last 5 years in Talbott, TN. Ray is survived by Myra, his loving wife of 62 years, and five children: Mark (Madelyn) Dearing of St. Augustine, FL, Christine (Glenn) Campbell of Lawrenceburg, IN, Judy (Bill) Conrad of Talbott, TN, Susan Dearing of Horicon, WI, and Karen (Stephen) Boyd of Sheridan, WY. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. An active business and community leader, Ray served as Executive Vice-President of the BBB in Indianapolis and Ft. Wayne, IN, and as Executive Vice-President of Boone Co. Chamber of Commerce. He worked in various capacities as a consultant for the new Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon, IN, and was a member of Lebanon Rotary Club and the Seekers Class at First Baptist Church of Lebanon. In lieu of flowers, family requests monetary or service donations to your local hospice or to the Amedisys Hospice Service, (1423 W. Morris Blvd., Morristown, TN 37813), which was so helpful in Ray?s last days. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
